Rare opportunity.  Built like a proverbial tank, ready for a discerning new owner.  Commonwealth 12/D3 Australian Broadcast Idler drive serial number # I476 meticulously restored by Artisan Fidelity.  Please note, the Pure Copper platter mat by Artisan Fidelity as shown is not included in asking price, but is available separately.  A black acrylic composite platter mat and 20AWG Copper power cord with Marinco Hospital Grade Copper plug AC connector are included.  Playback is dynamic, lively, powerful, tremendous air and space, layering superb and bass reminds one of real thunder with depth and great impact. As many music lovers are aware, these tremendously powerful, musical idler drives are highly sought after with clean examples becoming more rare and rare to locate on the open market places, and for good reason, as they are very formidable analog playback machines, period.  This particular Commonwealth 12D/3 features completely original, painstakingly restored factory components.  The refurbished OEM idler wheel's rubber periphery running outer surface remains in very good, pliable condition, the large single phase AC induction motor runs near silent and at the correct factory RPM.  Each individual component has been stripped down to bare parts, ultra sonic deep cleaned, re-lubricated, aligned, reassembled, then tested with main aluminum chassis and platter professionally repainted in Grey/Black Hammertone paint.  Motor runs at 230v/50Hz which requires dedicated AC power supply, which I can supply separately if required.  Rated 8/10 condition for age only.  Please contact Christopher at [email protected] or 219.933.8115 for details.  Worldwide shipping.
