This SET tube amp operates in Class A and is dual-mono using a pair of 6v6GT power tubes and a single 6SN7 driver. Output is 1-watt per channel in Triode mode but can be switched into Ultralinear mode for a bit more power. If you have efficient speakers, you can go direct (no preamp) and use the dual-mono attenuators. If you want to use a preamp, flick the switches and the dual-mono volume knobs are taken out of the circuit.
I’ve had this amp for a year and have tried with all of my speakers, but my most efficient speakers are 89db @ 4-Ohms and the 1-watt power is just not enough. It’s too bad, because the tone of this amp puts a smile on my face.
