Model 501

The Model 501 is a 500-watt
monaural amplifier enclosed in a chassis milled from a solid block of
aircraft-grade aluminum. We believe that this approach to isolation contributes
significantly to the amplifier’s ability to isolate delicate audio circuitry from
external vibrations and electromagnetic fields. The Model 501 incorporates
advanced digital output devices that, when driven precisely, provide an
extremely accurate transfer of energy from amplifier input to output. Midrange
sonics are rendered in smooth and linear fashion, while bass is tight and
defined. Treble frequencies are extended and refined. Its incredible power
reserves allow it to accurately reproduce the mightiest orchestral crescendos
while maintaining the delicate filigree of quiet musical passages. The 501
enclosure never heats up much beyond body temperature and can be placed
virtually anywhere within the listening environment. The remarkable size and
weight of the 501 allows for placement rarely noted in previous high-power
amplifiers. The 501 is designed to successfully drive the great majority of
modern loudspeakers available today.
