I am downsizing my system and have reluctantly decided to sell my beloved Dynaudio Contour S5.4s. They are functionally 100% perfect. When properly setup, these speakers will reward the owner with a massive, dense, and wonderfully detailed sound-stage; The dynamics, frequency response, and sense of natural transparency are world class; The value proposition is off the charts. You CAN spend more, but why?
The cabinets are in excellent shape; I usually took the grills off when listening because they just look so incredibly awesome; over time the corners of the grills frayed a bit; when the grills are off, the speakers still present as new; the bases are perfect; I have rated them a 7/10 due to the grill fabric on a few corners. The actual speakers are an easy 8 to 9 out of 10; I have the port bungs, manual, and original shipping cartons. I strongly suggest we strap them to a pallet for freight shipping; local pickup welcome.
I have marked these at a very fair and attractive price. You will not find a speaker on the used market with more potential at this price point; they were worth every penny at the MSRP of 8,000.
