This sub is by a landslide my favorite sub for music and movies as it as defined, accurate, solid and just makes insruments such as bass cello, bass drum and bass guitar sound as they should.

A nice feature of this sub is that it can be a DOWN firing sub as it is currently configured or it can be a front firing sub by simply swapping the feet (1-2 minutes) and installing the included grill.

I have owned well over 20 subs over the years including JL Audio, Mordaunt Short, Gallo, NHT, KEF, Sunfire, and many others. This sub trumps them as far as accuracy and integration with other speakers. Yes, the JL and the Sunfire can bring a massive slam but they just don't have the same attention to detail when it comes to instruments and defining subtle differences between bass drum and bass cello.
