Marantz 10B Tuner Classic FM tube tuner.

The Marantz 10B tuner is regarded as being one of the best sounding tuners ever made. I can also tell you it's one of the best built pieces of audio gear you'll ever encounter...it's extremely well built and weighs in at over 35 pounds.
I am the second owner of the tuner and I have owned it about 10 years....I acquired the tuner from the original owner. The tuner has always been in a temperature controlled, smoke free and pet free environment.

Condition wise, as can be seen in the pictures it's in great shape for it's age. The faceplate is very clean and has minor imperfections due to age. The machined knobs are clean and in great shape. On the FM dial scale, some of the lettering is missing due to age which can happen with these units, all the important lettering is there however. I have seen a number of the Marantz 10B tuners become available for sale over the last year or so on audio web sites and I can tell you mine is in better condition than most of the units I've seen.

The scope is bright and works fine and of course, it's a very cool looking tuner with the scope. The FM stereo indicator works fine and the tuner receives stereo signals with great reception. I recently replaced the (two) dial light bulbs and also tested all the tubes on a Amplitrex reference quality tube tester and the tubes tested fine. All the tube socket have also been recently cleaned as well. As can be seen in the pictures I have the original inner Marantz shipping box and a copy of the owners manual I will include with the unit.

Marantz tube units hold their value over time and typically appreciate as well. Marantz manufactured over 5,000 of these tuners and it's widely considered to be one of the best tuners ever made. This unit has a serial number of close to 4,000 so it's a more desirable later version.
