For sale are a pair of Ryan Speakers R620 in black. I purchased them directly from Ryan in November 2014. During the time I've owned them I've found them to be a wonderfully musical speaker. They're very easy to listen to for hours with no sense of fatigue at all. My sense is that they're a neutral speaker and don't favor any particular genre of music. They just sound great no matter what's played. The top end is clean and open, the bass is tight and punchy. The speakers image very well. I listen to a lot of trio/quartet/quintet-based jazz. The Ryans do that music justice. I recently listened to all 8 discs of the Miles Davis Quintet "Live at the Plugged Nickel" recording. It was quite an experience. The Ryans put me into that space, recorded so long ago yet still sounding fresh and alive. About a year in an attempt to move up in the Ryan Speaker line I sold these speakers. One of them was slightly damaged in shipping by UPS. The buyer sent them back to me. I discovered a dent about 1" in length and 1/2" in depth on the side of one of the speakers. This was cosmetic damage only and had no effect on the sound. I had a professional furniture repair done. Up close the repair is visible. From my listening position I can't see it. In one of the photos I've drawn a circle around the repaired area. That repaired area is the reason I'm pricing these speakers at such a low price. As you'll see from the photos they aren't in perfect condition but for the price and the quality this is a good deal for someone. This has to be pickup only in NYC. I don't have the boxes any longer. I'm selling these to free up space and a few dollars to move up to the new Ryan S series speakers, which cost considerably more than the R series.
