Certainly, one of the finest sounding and most technically advanced integrated amplifiers on the market today, the Aavik Acoustics U-300 project was led by Michael Borresen of Ansuz Acoustics cables, formerly for Raidho Loudspeakers and now designer of Borresen Acoustics loudspeakers. The industrial design is stunning with its unique combination volume / control knob and gun-metal case. This amplifier is powerful enough to drive virtually any loudspeaker and has the sonic quality, resolution, transparency and finesse to allow you to “simplify” the electronics in your system down to this one box and live happily ever after!
The U-300 includes an exceptional Moving Coil phono preamplifier that is not just an afterthought like many other integrated amps (Michael is very much into vinyl). It is based on a discreet, ultra-low noise input circuit providing up to 62dB of gain and cartridge loading adjustable from 50 ohm to 5K ohm all from the front panel. The integral 24/192 PCM DAC has five digital inputs- 2 -RCA SPDIF; 2- TOSLINK; 1- USB,and is fitted with onboard, ultra-low jitter clocks.
The U-300 comes with 3- RCA Line inputs; 1- Phono input; and 5- Digital inputs. Output is 300 watts/channel into 8 ohms; 600w/ ch into 4 ohms.
