Let me start by saying I really am conflicted selling this amplifier because I love the sound it produces immensely, so much so, this is the second unit I have owned in 18 years from Art Audio. I have recently upgraded to Tekton Encore speakers that really benefit from having more power and although my new Lyngdorf TDAI-3400 that I have mated to the Encores can't match the midrange beauty and liquidity of my Diavolo it does possess other strengths of neutrality and headroom, especially on bigger pieces of music. In the end audio is all about compromises. 

When I purchased my first Diavolo in 2001 I listened to dozens of amplifiers in my home. I worked in high-end and had access to a plethora of equipment and this amplifier above all others that I auditioned both solid-state and tubes was the one I truly missed when I removed it from my system.  It was pure magic and so holographic... so much so that when I decided to build a new high-end system, after a brief hiatus, I repurchased this more current 300b based model directly from inventor, Tom Willis, at Art Audio located in the UK in 2017. 

Make no mistake this amplifier sounds as good as it looks and includes a soft-start, Sentinel tube-protection system, and auto-bias circuit which makes it very robust and easy to use will little to no user interaction.

NOTE: When I ordered this amplifier Tom Willis put in the larger USA JOTA Amplifier power supply in it for me that also includes a higher 450v rail that allows you to (with a flip of a switch, thanks to me) and a minor internal bias circuit modification to also run 300bxls, 842vhd, 32b, et al higher output tubes to get even more power out of the amplifier.  I will ship the amplifier in the standard 10wpc 300b mode and include the instructions for the 5 minute modification that just requires a multimeter and include a mini-screwdriver to adjust the 2 pots for the auto-bias circuit to increase the milli-amp value which increases the wattage output to approx 15wpc.  (WARNING!! NEVER SWITCH THE AMP TO HIGH MODE WHILE USING STANDARD 300B TUBES!!!)
