I purchased this Rogue Sphinx v2 integrated amp brand new about two years ago and it has been powering my Magnepan 1.7s ever since. This amp is an amazing value for the money and has never lacked power, dynamics or musicality in my system while powering the somewhat difficult Maggies. I was recently seduced by another (more expensive...) amplifier that has taken the Sphinx's place in my system. The Sphinx's condition is excellent, both physically and sonically. Never any problems. My house is smoke-free, child-free, and pet-free. Will be shipped in the original double box. Several extras are included with this amp:
-Originally purchased with an upgraded all-metal remote (for an additional $100 charge).
-The 2 original JJ 12AU7 tubes have been replaced with Psvane 12AU7 TII matched tubes. The Psvane tubes really open up the sound of this amp. The virtually new original JJ tubes will be included in the sale as well.
-All 3 cheapo internal fuses have been replaced with Synergistic Research Quantum Red fuses.
-A Pangea AC-14SE power cord (meter length).
Combined, all of these upgrades take the amp's actual initial price close to $2000.
