BAT Tube preamp VK-33SE original owner for sale. This is an SE version and it sounds much better than the original VK-33, thanks to the output transformer. Selling this unit and BAT VK-76SE power amp to upgrade to BAT REX. This preamp can be easily paired with other brand power amp or a solid stand power amp to get the best of both worlds.
"Like the VK-53SE and REX II preamplifiers, the VK-33SE features transformer-coupled outputs. This new design replaces BAT’s venerable Six-Pak of output capacitors with custom-designed output transformers. Each transformer is encapsulated within a mu-metal shield for the ultimate in signal purity and noise isolation. True to its heritage, the VK-33SE uses the 6H30 SuperTube to form a high-current, low-impedance gain stage. "

| Do you know if the phono section can be added after the fact?
Thanks Yes, I just talk to Geoff Poors one of the BAT co-founder/dealers. He confirms that you can add it later. The best way is to send it back to BAT manufacturer to get it installed and re-check everything. Phono card cost plus labor is approx. 1200-1500 plus shipping.
