Klyne Audio Arts 6LX-3.5

The 6LX is a deluxe version of the 6LE.  Like the top of the line 7 series, the 6LX came equipped with a discrete, outboard power supply.  The only difference between the 6LX and the 7 series preamplifiers is the lack of a balanced option.  On the other hand, the 6LX offers a “MONO” output option that was not available on the 7 series.  The sale item includes a very high quality outboard power supply which I commissioned, to replace the original. The project was guided by Stan Klyne.  Mr. Klyne also upgraded the phono section and replaced all the voltage regulators on the audio chassis with his latest preferred components.  The phono stage has very flexible loading options and can handle most high and low output cartridges, both MM and MC types.  I rate the condition as 7 or 8.  There are no dings or dents or scuffs on the original audio chassis.  I have both the optional clear lucite top plate (shown in photos) and the original metal top plate for the audio chassis.  Owners manual also included.
