This beautiful German engineered and manufactured Sperling turntable is a recent trade-in. The original and only owner treated it like the high dollar instrument it is, so it is in excellent condition. Comes with two sets of platter inserts, one set wood and one set a black composite (POM) material. They do sound similar bit with differences to compliment your system and preferences.
A second armboard can be easily added at anytime. The first two pictures and the one in the description are from Sperling's website and they show the two arm versions. Please note the L3 listed here has ONE arm board.

Check out the massive platter in the pictures. This is a beast. It is very well made. The inverted platter bearing is a work of art.

Here is a copy of the manufacturer's information:

High Mass Turntable L-3

Our L-3 Turntable

A few things are different here and details are definitely not as simple as they seem. Handling flexibility and uncompromising manufacturing show the character of this extraordinary turntable. It can be individually tuned like no other turntable – both tonally and visually.

The base is an aluminium support milled from solid metal on CNC machines. This support carries the bearing as well as the major part of the massive platter. On this chassis you will find two mounting points for two separate tonearm bases, holding one tonearm from 9” to 12” length each. The tonearm bases’ innovative rotating mechanism already known from our L-1 and L-2 turntables allows for mounting the tonearms at any angle and distance despite the most solid screw attachment. You have the choice whether to equip the L-3 with one base or two tonearm bases. Of course retrofitting of a second arm base is possible at any time.

The platter itself is made of a special aluminum alloy. Exchangeable inlays are affixed to the precision groves on the top, which create the coupling between the record and the platter. We offer inlays made of various materials (different woods, acrylic, POM and many more. With this offering, the listener is given the opportunity to determine the tonality according to his personal preferences.

Innovation meets practicality: The tonearm base displays a scale on the top. This small feature makes it possible to mount a readjusted tonearm / cartridge combination together with its belonging base plate on its original point effortlessly within a couple of minutes. This is of particular interest for all audiophiles who own more than two tonearms and would like to change them periodically on the L-2 or even between the L-2 and other Sperling turntables.

If not for marks on the bottom of the motor housing, this would be a 10 for condition. The motor's condition is clearly seen in the last pic. The table is operationally perfect.

Do you have balancd/xlr? If not i can make it myself. 6.Would you work on under invoice since my tax is 60 percent? I take all the responsibility as I buy cameras leica do the same. would you pls reply.Thanks...
Hello, You must not have seen my last response. Allow me to say again. 1. The lowest I will sell the Sperling is $5000 AND you have to pay the PayPal (around $225)fees OR use a bank wire for payment of only $5000USD plus shipping. If you use PayPal, you need to send $5225 plus shipping. This is a $20,000 USD turntable and well worth the money. At $5000, this is a bargain. Of course you will also pay for shipping. I'm sure you know this but I want to make sure both of us are on the same page for all costs. Please remember PayPal protects the buyer(you) and not the seller(me) so it is only fair you pay the PayPal fees at this low low price since you are the only beneficiary of PayPal. 2. I will make an invoice at $425. 3. Not sure what "pay by TT" means. I wrote above that I will take PayPal or bank wire. If you explain pay by TT, I will look into that option as well. 4. The tonearm is a Sperling too. A 12 inch version. It is listed on the Sperling website. I have it listed on Audiogon under the listing "German made 12" Sperling-Robert Fuchs TA-1 tonearm" check it out. Beautiful arm. It is designed to work perfectly with this Sperling turntable. I have it listed at $3500. It sold new for $9000. I will take $2900 for it since you are buying the turntable . 5. FM Acoustics gear...nice!!! This tonearm has RCA connectors so you could easily change over to high quality XLR connectors. 6. I think I answered this under #2. Yes, I will work with you on invoice amount of $425. Thanks for the offer, Steve
Dear sir: Thank you for all the answer.1.pls see attached of my FM accoustics and Kuzma turn table system.2.i would take the deal of usd 5000.But,pls bear with me and give me until thursdays.I need to check with my customs people and TNT or UPS or Post office.3.Pls show me the create of packing if pissible otherwise I trust you.4.My voltage is 200 v. 4.TT meaning by Bank transfer.I will send two TT of usd 425 and 4675 usd.because ,I must show the receipt of the payment to the custom of usd 425.....Do i have to pay usd 5225 if I send by TT?. 5.For the tone arm;is it difficult to install it?.I will check it out on the website.I will come back to you.Could I use anytone arm?.Or ,I can use specials sperling armboard that already fix there.6.Please let me know if you are a company or personal sales.and, where are you shipping from?.Pls be patient.I will come back to you.Thank you.
I added another picture of the shipping crate. Is that what you were asking to see? The second and third pictures show the laser cut foam beds for the various parts. Any voltage between 110 and 240 is fine. If you use TT wire pay then $5000 plus shipping is the price. The armboard of this Sperling is already set for this tonearm I have listed...so yes, it would be very easy to mount it to the existing mounting hole. As for "using any tonearm" I can't say for sure. I'm sure you could use most tonearms but you may have to buy a new insert from Sperling or make a new one yourself or from someone nearby with the needed tools. I am a company. Xact Audio in Boise Idaho 83713 USA No problem waiting a few days for you to get things in order. I understand the details take some time.
hi. i have few questions for this product please... 1.i believe the TT is working at the right speed 33.3 and 45 rpm, etc.Isn”t it? 2.how do you pack it?.by crate, cud i see the photo of the crate? 3.What causes the scratch on many of them?.
Hello, This Sperling TT functions as new. The platter spins at the absolute correct speeds. Is quiet and a pleasure to use. 2, The factory engineered what I think is the best shipping container for a turntable on the market today. It is a metal crate with laser cut foam of the proper density and a section for every part. I'm sure you would be very impressed with the shipping crate. 3, What do you mean by scratches on MANY of the parts? I have only seen one part with scratches, the base of the motor. I have no idea what caused it.
