Derek Hughes has done a wonderful job of updating this classic BBC design, taking advantage of better drive units than were available in the past. They are an easy load for your amplifier to drive, with an impedance that stays above 6.8 ohms. They sound wonderful. They sound like music. 
These are built under licence from the BBC, obtained after submission to the BBC to ensure exact compliance with the original specification for the BBC LS3/6 broadcast monitor. Construction follows the BBC "lossy" cabinet design ideal. The LS3/6 is a 3-way, reflex, full-range loudspeaker. The drive units were custom built specifically for this updated design. The bi-wired screw terminals accept both 4mm plugs and bare wires up to 4mm cross sectional area.
