I have done a complete Crites overhaul on these amazing speakers including replacement of the tweeter and midrange diaphragms, wiring harness, and brand new Crites crossover as well as new grills. The cost of the parts alone is almost $500 and these regularly sell as is for $1,000-$1,200 so here's your chance to grab an icon of what some consider to be the best Klipsch below the Klipschorn. I left them in original oiled oak for all the nostaligic Klipsch fans but the finish could be upgraded. These are for local pick up only in Atlanta. These are priced to move so no offers. | What is the condition of the cabinets? Like almost every Chorus still around there is a little splitting in the base which could be easily remedied and there are some scratches. I did put a coat of golden oak resotre a finish just to get a little luster back and used some wax and feed as well. Honestly if it were me, I would refinish the surface or reveneer but I didn't want to do that because it isn't stock Klipsch and figured that would turn the true Klipsch fan off. At my price you are essentially getting the speaker for $500 which is unheard of since the Crites upgrades are $450. At this price it leaves "meat on the bones: left for anyone that wants to upgrade the finish. |
