The Quadrature Z is a high grade monoblock amplifier that retails for $33,000.   Mine may as well be brand new.  It's lightly used and in pristine, mint condition inside and out as were the other items I sold here last year.  I'm sure my happy purchasers would attest for you personally.  You would not be able to distinguish mine from a brand new set by inspecting it up close.  I did not find a single scratch or blemish while taking extreme close up pictures in bright light and therefore the rating of nine.  Regrettably selling for personal reasons.  
You'll find all reviews range from positive to glowing or better.  The advent of the OTL was a monumental achievement in audio but damping and impedance mismatches were by-products.  David Berning pioneered and patented solutions to the issues of load tolerance and heat dissipation.  It's the ONLY solution in its class and the best solution this side of $75,000.
The Quad Z utilizes radio frequency re-mapping to circumvent the stresses of heat generating power consumption.  Since the audio signal rides a carrier instead of a transformer there is nothing to distort the signal.  This allows for a better than 25:1 turns ratio.  
So the output tubes can work with lower current and higher voltage.  The lower current greatly prolongs tube life while the voltage capacity remains largely unaffected.  Re-mapping using radio frequency instead of an output transformer is some of the genius of David Berning.  
So only 220 watts per channel with four tubes per channel.  Normal usage provides for more than 20,000 hours of tube life!  That could outlast your mortgage!!!  My original 33JV6 tubes probably have fewer than 1,000 hours of usage.  And you can easily find them online for less than ten bucks a piece!  If you're seriously considering this purchase you probably already know something about David Berning.  Either way, google him and read about his amazing history.
