Audio Research LS3B R - The Unicorn LS3!

This is it, folks!  THE rarest version of what is still one of Audio Research's BEST solid state line stages, the LS3.  This is a late-production version, LS3B which includes balanced outs AND remote.

I'm the second owner, having purchased it from the estate of the first.  The seller indicated that his grandfather received this, a CD1 and a D200 directly from Dr. Bill Z. Johnson as a gift.  The invoice is dated December 9, 1994.  The serial number on the invoice corresponds to that on the unit.

The preamp has been my go-to unit for a few years.  It is in excellent condition, the only visible blemish being a scrape on the upper left side of the faceplate (please refer to last photo).

Being sold with the original manual, schematics, invoice, TWO remotes (the original I use every day and a brand new one, still in the bag), power chord and upgraded new-style silver handles ($150 upgrade).  Unfortunately, I can not find the original box but this will be packed securely.
