Ascend Acoustics Sierra-1

For sale are three Ascend Acoustics Sierra 1 speakers in high gloss piano black finish. Together they are our front L/R/C speakers.  I apologize for the photos but I couldn't take quality photos because of the highly reflective surface on the speakers.  The speckles you see is dust and not scratches or dings.  My wife and daughters were putting away the Christmas decorations so it was very hard to keep the dust off of them.  The speakers are in excellent condition.  I put my reading glasses on and searched for scratches, dings, or blemishes but couldn't find any.  There might be some very small ones that I didn't see but if so, they are not obvious. I rated 8/10 just to be safe.

I purchased the left and right speakers in 2010 and they have a couple hundred hours of use on them so they are well broken in.  The center channel is only a year old.  They are wonderful speakers but I'm now trying to use them in a large room and they are just too small.  We used them in a 12x14 room for a few years they did a remarkable job filling it with beautiful music and movie soundtracks.  It is surprising how much bass they produce and we would have no problem continuing to use them if we didn't have this large room in our new home.

I have all the original boxes and packing materials, even for the stands.  Ideally, I would like to sell them as a set but can split the left and right speakers from the center if absolutely necessary.  One thing I noticed is these speakers don't turn up on Audiogon very often because apparently people really like them.  Buying everything new will run over $1,500 if you include Ascend Acoustics' shipping charges.  I would like to sell everything for $1,200 and that price includes shipping costs to all CONUS addresses.  Please add $36 for PayPal transactions.
