VTL ST-85

For sale is a very nice all tube VTL ST-85 Stereo Power Amplifier. The amp is rated at 85 WpC.  The amp has absolutely no mods and is completely stock. The amp has no obvious damage and resided in a smoke free house. 
The amp was built in the 8th week of 2000, and I purchased it March 24th of 2000 at Audioport in Overland Park, Kansas. They were a VTL Authorized Dealer. I used this as my primary amp until about 2009. Since then, it has only seen occasional use. I did put it into my primary system last month to verify that it still worked properly and was pleased at how nice it still sounds. I had no problems or issues with the amp during my ownership.
I am the original owner, and I have the original box, manual, spec sheet, brochure, and biasing instructions. (I just re-biased the tubes. This should be done about once a year and is pretty simple to do.)
This amp uses four EL34 tubes for the output section, and four 12AT7 tubes for the input/driver stage. The tubes have about 1800 hours of usage and sound great. VTL recommends changing the tubes at about 3000 hours, so these should be fine for a while. When the time comes to replace them, or if you just want to try new tubes, they are readily available from several online sellers.
I'm asking $975.00 and I'll split the normal shipping cost (in the contiguous 48 states) with the buyer. The amp weighs around 40 lb so I estimate approx 45 lb shipping weight. The box is 12"x17"x22". You can use these dimensions to estimate the shipping cost by your favorite carrier.
