Once the darling of the high-end audio/video community, this fine model was the late Randy Tomlinson's reference, and received rave reviews when it came out in 2002 (e.g. ultimateavmag, online). I am the original owner. This unit predates HDMI and Blu-ray however, for someone who wants to play SACD's and DVD-A's, get excellent CD playback, and have fine component-video performance on DVD's as well, this is still an great player.
