Vintage Art -- Restored Kenwood KA-6100 Integrated Amplifier

Yeah...you'll have the coolest vintage amp on the block, maybe in the country! And its sound matches its good looks! It's definitely one-of-a-kind.


** Candy Apple Red Hammer Finish powder coated case (three stages...hammer, red, then clear) Bottom plate powder coated gloss black.
** All electrolytic, ceramic and film capacitors were replaced (low ESR in power supply, Nichicon FG, polymer, NP0/C0G ceramics, and film caps for signal path)
** All diodes were replaced/upgraded except the germanium ones for the meters
** All resistors 1/2W and up were updated with higher wattage metal film
** All 1/4W carbon film resistors were replaced/upgraded to 1% tolerance metal film ones
** All transistors replaced/upgraded
** New bulb for meter lamp and all new fuses
** Potentiometers (removed from boards) and switches received the prerequisite Deoxit cleaning
** Main filter caps upped from 6800uF to 10,000uF and bypassed with film caps


If you can find a better sounding 6100, buy it...but you won't find one.

Fine print:

There
are no returns for the unit because I cannot be guaranteed that the
unit won't be dropped, cross-wired and shorted, liquid spilled in it, or
whatever user error. What I will however guarantee, is that at the time
of pickup/shipping, the unit will have no static, cracks, pops, hums,
etc., every switch/knob will work as designed, and that the unit will
sound cleaner than the day it rolled off the assembly line.
