Rogue Audio’s Hydra 100w Power Amp. This amp features Rogue’s proprietary Tube D circuit which is effectively a tube input stage with a hybrid output stage.
The amp will ship with two sets of tubes; the original stock RCAs and a pair of NOS Cifte tubes. The stock RCAs have about 1000 hours on them. The Cifte’s have about 300.
The Cofte tubes add a wonderful dimensionality to the sound. Compare to a pair of VTL mono-blocks I have, the Rogue is far more detailed and refined and has better bass control that the VTLs in Tetrode mode. Is less detailed and the soundstage is less dimensional than the VTLs in Triode. For the price, an amazing sounding amp.
It is in flawless condition with the exception of two screws that were stripped when swapping tubes and had to be drilled out. This is why the lower grade below. See the photos.
