Symphonic KRAFT 400 Monoblocks with carbon fiber top covers with internal Stealth Audio Cables Sakra. (2 monoblocks are included). Sorry for the confusion between the title and the description. The Audiogon system doesn’t allow editing of the title. In fact, these are highly customized and entirely rebuilt Kraft 400 monoblock amplifiers – i.e. a pair of mono amplifiers. This pair is unique and the only pair of this kind in existence. To start with, this pair is symmetrical – i.e. on one of them the heatsink is on the right side, and on the other one – on the left. Originally, both amps had heatsinks on one side. IN my perception, this doesn’t look good. Thus, the chassis was modified to make them symmetrical. A new back plate was machined, using the same stainless steel 5 mm sheet, as in the original. In addition, the original Kraft 400 monoblocks had screws on top of the steel top plate, and in my perception, these screws were ugly. New sandwich top plates were made: steel, covered with carbon fiber. And the screws, holding the top plate – were replaced with long bolts that go through the chassis to the bottom and are secured and tightened at the bottom of the amps – i.e. invisibly from the top. The restored and re-polished stainless steel from plates are engraved “Kraft 250” – while, in fact, the amp are Kraft 400. Internally, the boards were rebuilt with all new components and power transistors gaskets. All power supply capacitors were replaced with brand new caps, obtained from Symphonic Line. These are very special caps, with a number of parameters MUCH better than regular capacitors of the same capacity and voltage. These caps are one of the main factor contributing to the sound and driving power of Kraft 400 monoblocks. Internal wiring was replaced with the STEALTH Sakra – which is clearly superior to the original copper internal wiring. All the work was done by the only (in the States) engineer, specializing in fixing and rebuilding Symphonic Line gear, who happened to live just several miles from me. AS the result, this pair looks better than any other Kraft 400 pair in existence, and sounds better than any other Kraft 400 pair in existence. Unlike any other ss amplifier in any price range, these amps do not have any characteristic sound of their own, they simply amplify the signal, i.e. are absolutely transparent. On top of that, their driving power is greater than any available amplifier with any power rating. For example, Kraft 400 is the only amplifier known to me to drive the 81 dBs sensitive MBL 101 to satisfaction – surpassing in that respect the largest and most powerful MBL monoblocks, which, in their turn, surpass all other amps on the market.
