We have just one of these amazing, compact Wavelength Audio tube DACs. The unit is in like new condition, was only used for about 18 months by one of our clients (the original owner) and is priced to sell. If listening to a tube DAC is where you want to go, this unit will get you great sound for a fraction of the cost of other DACs at this level.

"One of the reasons this works so well is because ounce the track is ripped (copied) to the hard drive error free it just sounds better than any transport available.

The Brick does not use a USB DAC chip. It instead uses the same DAC technology that the Cosine has. This is a non up/oversampling multibit dac with out the use of analog or digital filtering. The idea that what is on the disk is exactly what is going out without any math involved between disk and output.

The output stage of the Brick is a single 12AU7A dual triode in reactor follower mode that has the great ability to deliver the goods.

The idea for the Brick came as a fundamental building block for computer audio.

The Brick, Cosecant and Ultimate DPU use the same USB interface and multibit dac in the zero configuration (i.e. passive i/v, 0 up/oversampling, 0 filters). Some differences here:

1) Chassis is a heavy cast aluminum Brick looking thing, so the name.

2) Power supply for the Brick is a high quality custom wall wart.

3) The Brick uses 12AU7A tube in a reactor output. All products use custom MageQuest magnetics.

4) All the models use Black Gate capacitors as the price goes up the units use more and better quality."
