Lakeview Audio is proud to offer the ultimate upgrade for David Berning ZH-270 owners. This is a capacitor upgrade for the power supply. This unit is a full 1.1 Farad supply. included in the upgrade package is the supply, necessary umbilical, and modification to the users amplifier. While there is a modification to the amplifiers chassis, the units stock performance is not altered(unless requested by customer) and is fully functional without the supply after upgrade. The improvement to the amplifiers overall performance is not subtle. The most immediately noticeable improvement is in the bass response. There is a significant improvement in speed, impact, and overall articulation. Additionally, complex musical passages and dynamic swings are portrayed to their fullest with a sense of ease. | Hello,
I was curious to know how the power upgrade works since the power cord seems still to go into the ZH 270 instead of the new power supply unit. I have preamps with separate power supplies, but it is the separate power supply that is plugged into the wall, and is then connected by umbilical to the preamp. I am a zh 270 owner.
Thanks. This is a capacitance upgrade for the power supply in the ZH-270. The amplifier operates as originally designed. This gives the amplifier huge storage capacity which greatly enhances the bass and ability to handle great dynamic swings.
