darTZeel NHB-108 Model 1 Version B w/ SCNP Upgrade

Up for consideration is my darTZeel NHB-108 Model One Version B stereo amplifier with the SCNP Network ($4,000 upgrade). This high-speed dual-mono power amplifier is the top-of-the line stereo machine in the Never Heard Before (NHB) series. This is simply one of the finest stereo amplifiers available on the market today. It was the Stereophile “Product Of The Year” and deservedly so. The amp resided in a dedicated listening room free from smoke, pets or kids. The amp has had very low usage over the past few years and currently tucked away safely in its original box. I have been unable to enjoy my system for sometime now due to a demanding business. The amp includes all accessories as shown in the attached photographs and will be shipped with the board replacement top in order to protect the clear glass top. Other than a few small nicks on the faceplate, the amp is in very good overall condition. This is the finest sounding amp I've ever owned and sadly I must part with it.    


Incredible synergy with highly resolving loudspeakers such as Evolution Acoustics, Magico, Wilson Audio, YG Acoustics, Raidho, Dynaudio, Marten, etc. The NHB-108 amp will bring out the best these loudspeakers have to offer and take your system to new levels you've never experienced before. The darTZeel has the ability to take the most complex and congested music and present it in a beautiful, rich, musical and simplified way. This is a solid-state tube amp - warmth without bloat. The amp is spectacular in how it reveals the harmonic structure of instruments. It combines solid-state attack and tube decay, allowing you to hear/feel the essential emotion of the music. Conservatively rated at 125wpc into 8ohms.

Summary
Hervé started this journey with the premise of designing not just another amp but one that was truly better. Did he succeed? Spectacularly so. The 108 is a dazzling tube-sounding amp cavorting around in the guise of transistors. It has the best traits of tubes and solid state - magic midrange with spectacular soundstaging. It is harmonically rich and satisfying. The sound touched my soul. It infused air around the instruments and made music come alive with a deep and powerful low end. It is truly involving, with a gorgeous liquidity that conveys the emotion of the music. Having graduated to tubes, I thought I'd never look back. The darTZeel has made me rethink that premise. It's a stunning piece of equipment that has raised my system to a new level of performance. Highly recommended.

Update: Amp recently received a complete and thorough check-up by darTZeels authorized USA technician including all updates and re-biasing to current specs. Amp purchased thru an authorized darTZeel dealer and is a USA version product. Non USA version amps must be shipped to the darTZeel factory in Switzerland for any updating, servicing or repairs.
