NAD Silverline S300 integrated amplifier.

Excellent condition, very clean and great sounding. Comes with original box, which is critically important when shipping amps of this weight! Also included: riginal manual and warranty card, power cord and remote control that does the basic functions: Volume Up and Down; Mute; switch sources between balanced input and AUX; power off.

Built like a tank with a lot of metal and is quite heavy. When changing volume too quickly with the hand, it can produce some static noise due to dirty contacts.

Real dual mono integrated amplifier NAD S300. It comes from the NAD’s high-end series, the Silverline. Clone of the legendary and much more expensive Gryphon Tabu Century integrated amplifier from Denmark, that sold for $6,500 in 1990-s.

It says it on the back: “Designed and Engineered in London, England. Custom manufactured to NAD specifications in Denmark”. It is also good to know that NAD used to own Gryphon company and still shares some manufacturing facilities. S300 was manufactured from Gryphon Tabu stock parts and share the same specs.

The heart of the amp is a pair of huge, high-efficiency toroidal power transformers brought by Toroid. Each channel is additionally equipped with 4 Nichicon power caps. Total capacity of accumulated power equals 40000uF per channel. Power transistors Sanken 2 x 2SC2922 and 2 x 2SA1216, Alps potentiometer (fully motorized, very precise), Meisei M4-24H relays, top quality speaker and input terminals, balanced XLR input, separate power transformer for non-audio circuits.
