Excellent preamp for sale. I loved this preamp. Only reason for selling is I purchased an Audible Illusions that was over twice the price (and it's not even better in every way. There are still things I like about the PrimaLuna better....but I digress). I also much preferred the Prologue preamp over the Dialogue preamp ($1k more retail) in my system (to me the Dialogue was too analytical and lost musicality). I take great care of my audio components (see my feedback and by with confidence!). It was kept in a smoke, child, and pet free environment and it still even has the plastic covering on the top of the preamp behind the tubes! Only a couple small flaws I noticed when preparing to list (somehow the "CD" label has come off on the left of the selector dial and there is a slightly larger than a pen tip indentation on the left side of the preamp....see pictures) but this unit is in excellent condition. The tubes were replaced and have minimal hours (just broke them in for a few days and then listened for a combined 20 hours or so). The remote is very nice in it's aluminum case (like new....see picture). Please no low ball offers. This is a great buy even at retail and aside from a couple very minor flaws the unit is mint.

Just to confirm: this does not have a headphone out, right? Right, it does not. |
Very tempted. You replace it with a Audible Illusions? It costs $450 in 1984, which is less than $1400 as today's value.
I am very surprise that the Primaluna cannot beat a design originated more than 30 years ago. Don't know what to tell you.... But yes I did |
is the tape output a fixed output I never used the tape output. In checking the manual it seems that the "HT" input is the only volume fixed output. |
