Wyred 4 Sound STP-SE with Stage 2 Upgrade, free shipping! [Template]

Bought in 2017 from an authorized dealer (Perrotta Consulting) who received it as a "mint" customer trade-in. Built as an STP-SE in 2015, upgraded at the factory to Stage 2 by Wyred4Sound later that same year (according to their records based on S.N. - I like to do the due diligence on provenance before I buy used!). It is the black version.

It's as good as all the reviews suggest (e.g. six moons blue moon award, perfect 10 award from 10audio, etc.), of course you've probably already done your own research. Even though my amp (firstwatt F7) is only 20W I rarely ventured into the "gain" portion of the circuit (volume level 64+) - it lets the source and amp's virtues through uncolored! Specifically, it's a smooth transition on the volume ladder when you hit 64. There is more gain, but it’s compensated for in the volume control. When you hit 64, it would sound 0.5db more than 63. Up to that point it is an extremely high quality active buffer.

Very flexible in its input/output options, remote functions are great (including things like phase reversal). In short, I would hold onto this if I wasn’t downsizing to an integrated tube amplifier.
