Balanced Audio Technology VK-300x tube se w/phono

Second owner. Unit is bombproof, has worked flawlessly and will drive almost anything with absolute authority. When I pulled it out of service it was driving a pair of Maggies…. extremely well I might add.
This integrated really has it all…air, speed, transparency, expansive soundstage, resolution and no bloat here nothing but solid defined and controlled bottom end. It is one of the most powerfully musical, lively integrated amps that I’ve auditioned or owned. For this I really have to give full credit to its hybrid design…it just does everything so damn well. This BAT 300x-se was 9th attempt at getting something close to my Ayre separates. I’ve tried integrated amps from Rowland, NAD Master series, Ayre, Parasound, Krell, Wyred 4Sound, McIntosh and Boulder. The integrated was sent into the shop last year for which I thought was a fussy channel which turned out to be my source ( which was new ) and not the BAT. They replaced the display while I had it there as they said it was a little dim. No harm no foul. Other then that it came back with a clean bill of health and a newer box. As far as cosmetics the faceplate is conservatively rated a 7/10 (Agon standards) you have to look close to see the light ribbing and ding on the right hand top edge. There is also a ding on the top left hand corner. I took the liberty and highlighted these in one of the pictures.
