For sale is a used Vitus Audio RD-100 DAC/Linestage. The RD-100 is fully balanced and is in amazing condition. This was a demo unit and has had only one owner. It has both Digital and Analog inputs and both RCA/XLR Inputs and outputs. This has some minor cosmetic blemishes (noted in the photos), the unit performs perfectly and is in like new condition. It comes in the original Vitus shipping box (35lbs) and contains all components:

The RD-100, a hybrid between DAC and analog preamplifier. The best of both the analog and digital world. As more and more people are using digital at their primary sources, and analog as secondary sources, we desided to design a product which focus on such usage. The RD-100 is based on modules in both analog and digital section. Not only does this give better shielding between the different functions, but also provides an easy way of upgrading moving forward. The analog stage of the RD-100 is based on the ULN modules designed for the SL-102, and provides a similar sound as the SL-102 provided. The volume control is taken from the multi award winning RI-100 and gives regulation between -69dB and +6dB. When an analog input is chosen, the digital modules are shut down to avoid any digital noise to interfere with the analog signals. If you are looking at this product, you probably know most of the features. But I’ll give a few highlights. This unit has a reference quality integrated volume control (in analog domain, using sophisticated resistor networks). Therefore, you could use this without a separate preamp for the most clarity. In addition, the unit has 2 analog inputs, which do not get digitized into the digital domain. When selected, the analog inputs get passed through the unit (digital section turned off), directly to the volume control. Therefore, this unit can work perfectly for the minimalist system for both analog and digital inputs (thus saving the cost of a reference grade preamp). This is what makes this unit unique, and an overall good deal. There is also a handy chassis ground connection to help eliminate ground loops.
