Pro-Ject Audio Systems Stream-Box DS Net - Hi-Rez Audio Streamer

There are a lot of choices when it comes to streaming audio products.  Many offer convenience but lack good sound quality.  Others offer fantastic performance but include a high price tag and often suffer from technical issues. Pro-jects Stream Box is simply built to high quality standards its smaller, simple, yet elegant chassis shave some manufacturing cost, but in sound quality it rivals streamers costing many times more. To an audiophile this is what counts.  

Incorporating an on-board advanced digital to analog converter with 24-bit/192 kHz conversion via Cirruslogic delta/sigma silicon, its capable of peeling away the music to reveal some very interesting details.  It handles MP3, AAC/MP4, WMA, WAV, AIFF and FLAC files plus a few more less commonly used ones.    

The front panel is simple with a power button and a large color LCD screen.  The menu's, folders, track title and cover art are all displayed quite nicely.  Navigation is a breeze and the supplied remote control works surprisingly well.  The Stream Box can also be controlled with both Apple and Android mobile devices.

Content can be streamed from a front or rear USB port, wirelessly from an Iphone or Ipad, or over your LAN from a storage drive or PC.  The Stream Box also supports hundreds of streaming radio stations internally without any additional hardware. 
 
 Network streaming is known to produce the very best results as opposed to wireless or USB connectivity, so if your looking for a primary source for hi-resolution files the Stream Box is a great solution.
