Thorens TD-124

The item for sale is a one-owner Thorens TD 124 turntable recently
restored to state-of-the-art condition by STS Turntables.  The turntable
serial number is 43808 and was purchased new in 1964 by my father.

In addition to the standard restoration work (listed below),
project work included upgrades to the idler wheel and new MKII motor mounts as
well as a beautiful new paint job, complete rewiring of the chassis and a new
power cord. The turntable, Pritchard tone arm and cartridges have all been
tested and are in excellent working order.

The main table chassis, platters, and tone arm are packed in
separate boxes and then carefully put in to a single larger box for shipping as
they were sent to me by STS. 

The STS restoration process includes; Cleaning and
lubricating all parts, treat metal for resistance to corrosion, factory style
motor rebuild. Replace motor suspension grommets, motor thrust bearing, motor
thrust pad. Align rotor and adjust "knee joint" Idler Mechanism for
smooth operation including new Teflon idler washers. True Up Idler Wheel if
needed, replace bushing if needed or new idler wheel if requested.  New start capacitor (if needed), new strobe
resistor (if needed), new main bearing spindle bushings, new main bearing
spindle thrust pad and gasket and new belt. Test run turntable for correct
operation and readjust as necessary for optimum performance.
