This Krell Phantom III is.... OUTSTANDING!!! ( check my purchase and 100% Feedback history as a private seller/buyer) I have no Bias just a pure AudioPhile Enthusiast.
I had it running 2 McIntosh 601 Monoblocks with My still Current $32,000.00 Focal Utopia Scala V3's (no plans of changing) and it was Mind Blowing!! Literally the ONLY flipping reason I changed is because I moved from a Dedicated Listenting room with acoustic treatments, carpet, drywall, rectangular to a super crazy room set up with travertine, windows, hand carved stone, and high exposed beam ceilings and more and needed to go with room correction McIntosh MEN220 and Pre Amp a/v rc Mc C52 for the Equalizer with room perfect, treatments and have the room treated for about $15K but shoot, when I was not in insanity room, omg!! This Krell, is MIND BLOWING!!! Literally brought people to TEARS and me to the floor, just so amazingly intense. I bought it for a reason. I have been in demo rooms, friends, and heard $5Mil of equipment at CES in Vegas, and friends, shops, and for the Money this sexy Krell Phantom III whew, well, like I said if I did not have an actual NEEEEEEED for the integrate Mac stuff, screw the rest of the more spendy stuff, this would have satisfied for life. Spending more for newer ... why? when it sounds so good it's like rea life you win, that's end, show stopper, game changer, stops there, you're done, success. I'm super sad to see it go. The Stainless brushed finish looked so good contrasting in the UltraSonic Rack. You straight up have to HEAR this Thing. Jaw Dropping! Unless you have a set of $250K RockPorts no Pre-Amp blind sampled would beat this thing out,... and I have heard plenty! Hence I could get what I wanted but chose this till my change or room challenges.
I Opted for the optional D/A module installed and is in Excellent/Impeccably condition!

The Phantom preamplifier is a dual monaural design with the left and right channels afforded their own power supply regulation and individual circuit boards. All signal gain is executed with surface mount technology using proprietary multiple-output current mirrors with nearly 500 times the open loop linearity of other designs. Featuring 700 kHz bandwidth in a zero feedback, balanced, Krell Current Mode design, the Phantom III shares the same design philosophy as its bigger brother, the flagship Phantom preamplifier. Negative feedback is not used anywhere in the preamp, nor is it necessary. Open-loop distortion is typically less than 0.003%. The volume control is realized with a balanced resistor ladder – bandwidth and transient response of the preamp circuitry are virtually unaffected by the volume setting. The headphone circuitry is identical to the main circuitry, offering private listening with the same performance as speaker playback.
We have the remote, power cord, and packing materials.
