Open Baffle Loudspeaker, designed by Siegfried Linkwitz. This system was built by Don Naples of Wood Artistry. The wood is bubinga. Included with the speakers is an active crossover (ASP), a pair of 10 foot speaker cables with Speakon connectors.
Peter Aczel of Audio Critic considered the Orion’s to be one of the best sounding speakers in the world.
Questions for the seller |
---|
How many amplifiers does it take to drive these speakers, and how should they be configured?. Can these speakers be driven by a single stereo pre-amp sending a split signal to two (or four) power amplifiers? If yes, what power would be needed for the pre-amp and the two (or four) power amps? Is there a written reference available that recommends and explains those kinds of questions?
How old are these speakers?
The speakers need 8 channels of amplification. The individual channels are wired into the Analog Signal Processor. A 2 channel pre-amp is all that is needed to control the volume. Please open the link [filtered] This will give you all of the details about the Orion’s. The speakers are 8 years old with only 3 years of use. I’ve lived in a small apartment for the last 5 years and haven’t used them at all. One of the best sounding speakers under 30K around. |
