I bought this turntable from the first / original owner in October of 2014.  This is newer aluminum/acrylic plinth with the mk. I tonearm.  He had bought it brand new 2 1/2 years before that.  So it was originally bought brand-new in the Spring of 2012.  My purchase of this particular Well Tempered Amadeus GTA was during a stint when I was between restored Garrard 301 turntables (the Garrard 301 is my turntable of choice, but a properly running one in a great plinth is at least 5x the price of the Well Tempered).  I was not disappointed with my temporary downshift to the Well Tempered.  In fact, I feel like a Well Tempered of most vintages and varieties continues to offer the best-bang-for-the-buck of any belt-driven turntable.

I dont know what it is about the simplicity of certain mechanical things often delivering some of the most thrilling results (e.g. - bolt-action rifles, horn speakers, carbureted engines, rangefinder cameras, etc), but William Firebaugh's designs (specifically, the tonearms he has developed) are more than just audio curiosities.  When I first got into the hobby in the year 2001, there were a few serious audiophiles a crossed paths with that ran Well Tempered rigs in our local scene.  Even the well-heeled guys that ran crazy SME turntables or the zealots that ran Linn Sondeks grudingly admitted that a Well Tempered offered something different and cool.  I was always impressed with what they offered, sound-wise, and was continuously provoked by the value that they offered at their respective pricepoints.

The more recent offerings from Well Tempered (in this case, the Amadeus GTA model) have pretty good fit and finish for the price, a very quiet and smooth bearing, as well as the ever-so-idiosyncratic arm.  I'll appropriate some Phil Spector song lyrics that apply to this arm: 'To know him is to love him'.  This turntable and tonearm are fairly easy to set up, and it is a complete package with the original box, all the tools, manuals, etc.  The standard 'wall wart' power supply is included (working perfectly!).  So this whole rig is ready to run and provide beautiful analog ecstasy. :)
Also included is a somewhat fried additional DPS power supply which is not working so well.  You can read more about it below.
***DISCLAIMER - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY about the optional / additional DPS power supply ***

An interesting thing happened a few years ago in my system.  We had a power-surge / outage in our neighborhood which resulted in our home's power flickering on and off.  The system was unharmed...except for the optional / additional Well Tempered DPS outboard power supply.  It must have gotten something fried in it (because records now played without speed accuracy) and when I contacted Well Tempered to repair it the DPS power supply, they said they would.  I just never got around to sending it off to them.

Instead, I just used the standard wall-wart power supply that plugs directly back into the turntable, and the speed of the table was perfectly fine.  TRANSLATION: outboard Well Tempered DPS power supply that normally costs extra = not working well.  Standard wall-wart plug that normally goes directly into the back of the table = perfect.  No problems at all playing music accurately when you plug the turntable directly into the wall.  But if you use the extra outboard DPS power supply, the speed of the table will be incorrect.
***END OF DISCLAIMER***
