Underwood Hifi now owns Core Power Technologies A/V

The Equi=Core 1800 is a full 15 amp, 1800 watt, balanced line

conditioner.
It supports up to 8 products thru its 4 Hubbell
Duplex A/C receptacles. It also offers surge protection in addition to
sonics that
typically sell for $3000-$5000.00 from the competition. It uses a
state of the art balanced transformer to eliminate AC noise without the
downsides of normal filtering. All current units use series wiring and upgraded internal wire.

In the latest review Part Time Audiophile summed with: "So in summary, I would give the Equi=Core 1800 an enthusiastic
recommendation as I was impressed with the apparent value at $2K, solid
build quality, and most importantly, the noise floor improvements that
it made that lifted up my whole system."

In the 2017 Tone Audio review they said:

"I could wax poetic about this track and that, but a power product either does what it is supposed to or it doesn’t.
The
Equi=Core 1200 and 1800 conditioners deliver the goods and offer
outstanding value for the price asked. They are all made by hand in the
Core Power factory in Colorado.
And
for those seeking additional value, they’ve got an awfully good
“premium” power cord that can be bundled for only $99. The Shunyata
Venom used to be my budget go to power cord, but this one easily takes
it’s place. Even if you think you have “clean power,” you’ll be
surprised at what one of these do for the overall sound quality of your
system. It’s about a 10-minute demo. Plug it in, listen to your three
favorite tracks, then take it out and repeat. This is an easy one,
folks. So what are you waiting for? Give them a call (770-667-5633),
they love to chat with their customers."

It is 5" high and 11.6" wide x 11.6" deep
and weighs 65 pounds.

Customers have all been blown
away by the 1800. It compares to the best conditioners at a fraction of
their cost.

What is Balanced Power?

In
much the same way that balanced audio lines can eliminate hum,
electromagnetic interference (EMI), and noise, the use of balanced AC
power lines in sensitive audio, video, or computer installations can
make an enormous difference in system noise and signal integrity. But
power distribution in North America, unfortunately, is not balanced. The
distribution standards currently in use were derived from practices
established over a century ago, when electric power use was limited to
lighting and motors —long before any AC noise sensitive applications
existed. The emphasis then was on convenience (from the power utilities —
standpoint) and safety, but not noise cancellation

Balanced power is not a new design or approach in power conditioning, however up till now its been very expensive because
only small group of manufacturer’s specialize in selling
Balanced Power. It’s a rather simple concept; in your home, the AC wall
socket that you normally use has three conductors: hot, neutral, and
ground. Normally, if you measure the hot to ground you should get 120
volts, and if you measure the neutral to ground you should get 0 volts,
but more often than you would imagine this is not what happens, i.e.,
hot vs. ground might be far less than 120 volts, and neutral vs. ground
might be far more than 2 or 3 volts. These offsets produce common mode
AC line noise that becomes audible in your audio system.

In
a balanced AC circuit, hot vs. ground, and neutral vs. ground will both
read 60 volts. In other words, the hot and neutral conductors are both
at 60 volts. Since these voltages are of opposite polarity though, and
given that most interference in a typical AC line is common between the
two lines, the noise in the lines is eliminated when the two lines are
added together. This is effectively known as Common Mode Rejection
(CMR).
