McIntosh MC 240 Vacuum Tube Amplifier - Recently restored - NOS vintage American Tubes

Just restored by Austin Stereo of Austin Texas including a full set of old stock US made tubes.  A 90 day warranty is included.  All capacitors have been replaced with those of equal or higher specifications.  Electrolytics are Panasonic brand caps.  While we prefer to leave the design as original, we could not resist replacing the RCA jacks with gold plated teflon units.  
A good bit of "patina" and signs of age as shown in the pictures.  Performance however is like new.  The MC-240 has a unique design that makes it much easier to live with than many other tube amps, old and new.  Due to a special transformer design, no bias setting is necessary.  It is also not a requirement to used matched pairs or quads.  A perfect choice for someone new to tube amps, or a veteran that is sick of tweaky unreliable tube power.  
Although this was sold originally as a power amp, it is fully capable of being used as an integrated amp, as it has a balance and volume control.  Just connect up your disc player, Bluetooth adapter, streaming receiver, and so on, and you are all set.
