Octave Audio V70 SE Tube Integrated + Black Box Power Supply / Like New, Black

Up for sale is my 9/10 condition Octave V70 SE in black. The sale includes the optional and amazing Octave Black Box Capacitance Power Supply Booster, a brand new quad of Gold Lion KT88s, two Octave remote controls including the matching black full-metal remote, and more (see below). Works better than new with the tube upgrades, and looks new.

High-end German engineering creates a beautifully transparent, dynamic, and controlled amplifier, with jaw-dropping bass extension and agility. Enhanced pentode operation provides absolutely linear response mated to that creamy, sonorous, edge-free midband that only tubes provide. With the supplied Gold Lion KT88s, this unit arguably sounds better than the Octave V80SSE with its KT150s (a Stereophile Class A product, which John Atkinson says, "As I was with the other Octave Audio amplifiers we have reviewed, I was impressed by [its] measured performance."). This unit laughs at my 86db speakers, playing them with deep authority and ease.

I have always run this unit with Gold Lion KT88's, which were recently replaced with another matched quad last month (Feb 2019). The unit came stock with SED Winged-C 6550s, of which five (5) are included and work great. There are only 60 hours on those.

Audio Advisor JUST started selling these new for $5700, with the optional Black Box being priced at $1100. The GL KT88's are $240 new and the SED Winged-C's are out of production. This is a $7K+ new retail value. Note: this unit is NOT equipped with the optional phono stage - the phono input doubles as "Aux 2" and is simply another line level input. This is a factory standard configuration.
