Blackout!! So what was done?

* New black anodized, brushed aluminum, reproduction face plate
* Powdercoated cover - Gloss Black Finish
* Upgraded all resistors to metal film
* Upgraded nearly every capacitor (includes ceramic, film and electrolytic)
* Replaced all transistors, diodes and relay
* Replaced Input Selector switch
* Replaced all lamps (with incandescent), replaced vellum in front of light box and replaced the fuse
* Cleaned all controls with access to contacts/tracks (includes removing them from PCB for access)
* Set power supply, bias and offset voltages to spec

I don't know what more to say about this unit except that Saul Marantz might've thought this was kinda cool. The sound quality of these restorations places these vintage units in the rarefied air of the high end. They truly sound that good! Anyway, here's but one interpretation of a storied line of gear.
