MCINTOSH MX150 SURROUND SOUND PROCESSOR IN GOOD CONDITION FOR A USED PRODUCT.

I used the MX150 SSP exclusively in my dedicated home theater room. The unit functions very well both sonically & visually. There are a few minor cosmetic blemishes, but you have to look very carefully to notice them. Included in this sale will be the original packaging, remote control, owner's manual & (misc) items for room correction. Please note, I was never able to configure this SSP using HDMI only for audio & video. I was able to get a video signal via HDMI, but no audio. So, I configured the SSP by using HDMI for video & TOSLINK for audio. Needless to say, the results were superb. I am selling this unit because I upgraded to the MCINTOSH MX160 SSP. Last month I had the service center at my local MCINTOSH dealer run a full diagnostic to ensure that the unit is in good working order. Also, they updated the firmware to the latest version and gave the unit a clean bill of health.
NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING I will not ship this SSP outside of the continental USA (excluded HI, AK) UNIT WILL BE FULLY INSURED FOR FULL VALUE
PLEASE NOTE, IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY HISTORY ON THE AUDIOGON SITE, THE ONLY FORM OF PAYMENT I WILL ACCEPT IS A CASHIER'S CHECK. THE CHECK MUST FULLY CLEAR MY ACCOUNT BEFORE I WILL SHIP THE MX150. THANK YOU!

Questions for the seller
Does the HDMI not work properly, or is it supposed to process video only?
Hey I had the local dealer (BJORNS) install a new HDMI board & update the firmware. This was done about 6 weeks ago. The tech told me that he tried to get the HDMI to work for both audio & video, but could not make it happen. He could only get a video signal. Then he connected a toslink cable & got audio. I believe that it was supposed to process both audio + video via HDMI, but you would need to contact MCINTOSH to get that confirmed. So, to answer your question, the HDMI DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY IN MY OPION. However, when you configure the SSP to process video via HDMI & audio via Toslink, the results are great. You cannot tell the difference. Thanks!
I have two MX-150's and wanted to relay that they do indeed pass audio over HDMI (or are supposed to). Having said this, I personally do what the seller does and send audio over a different signal as I like to have sound and picture separated, so I would not consider his unit's condition to be a "bad" thing. :)
Hello, Thanks a lot for providing this information. As I stated in the ad, the unit works flawlessly, both from an audio & video perspective. The interesting part is that the tech at the local MCINTOSH service center (that recently serviced my MX 150) said the same thing as you. That is, he configures his personal SSP by using HDMI for Video & Toslink for audio, despite being able to run both audio & video via HDMI. He told me that he feels it gives better performance. I can't comment either way. The only thing that I can comment on is that my MX 150 works very well. Thanks again! Dudley
