Up for sale is an amazing 10ft pair of DIY ribbon speaker cables I made from Goertz Alpha Core 14 gauge inductors. The + and - runs are individually insulated and have then been "clothed" in a single sleeve of TechFlex, and terminated with rhodium-plated spades and red/white heat shrink for a professional finish. These cables lived in my system for several years and trounced every commercially made cable I tested against them (Tara, Zu, Audioquest, and others). They have finally been retired with the purchase of a pair of ribbon cables from Verastarr that cost me very dearly. These DIY cables hold their own, but the Verastarrs are a bit better, and are in my system to stay. I am asking $50 for the pair of cables plus $7.50 towards USPS priority shipping. This is only 1/3 of what just the materials cost me to make these cables. I have rated them conservatively at a "7", since they are DIY, but they are in perfect working order and look quite nice. Check my feedback and buy with confidence. Thanks for looking!
Questions for the seller |

sir: in what manner are the individual
(+) and (-) wires electrically insulated from each other ? Thank You Hi,
Thanks for your interest. Each conductor ribbon is insulated by sandwiching it between two layers of 3M polyurethane clear packing tape. The two insulated conductors are then attached to one another with a layer of double-sided adhesive foam tape to ensure the conductors remain a constant distance apart for the length of the run. The packing tape insulation is based on Greg Weaver's original design in Soundstage found here:
