Up for sale the highly regarded Dac 5 Special from Audio Note UK. This is the V2 version, currently in production: the unit is from 2008. It is a level 5 so it shows the best quality components from AN: there is a plenty of silver transformers, tantalum resistors, Black Gate and Cerafine capacitors plus very fine NOS tubes. Coupling caps on the output board have been upgraded to Duelund Copper Cast handmade capacitors.
The unit is in mint conditions with no sign of usage and performs flawlessly: the sound from this dac is absolutely to die for, as you can expect. Actual retail is around 50.000 Euro.
The unit will come with a spare set of four unused Black Gate caps for line board together with a new never mounted spare AN wooden line board: also included in the sale a huge amount of exotic and very rare NOS tubes from Bendix, RTC, Mullard, Telefunken, Raytheon, Hytron, Tungsol, Sylvania, Mazda for many years pleasure...
