I'm the original owner of a Schiit Lyr 3 that I picked up in March
of this year that has been great, but looking to pick up a smaller amp
that can be used as a portable one as well.
amp works great with both the Schiit Octal LISST and the TungSol 6SN7
tube that came with the amp. The Tungsol tube itself probably has about
720 hours on it total. There's a slight hiss if you're using
really sensitive IEMs when using the Tungsol, but silent with the LISST.
The amp also comes with the Schiit multi-bit DAC module.
the amp looks great but I'm marking it an 8/10 because 1) there's a
slight hairline scratch on the back of the amp which you can see in the
picture and 2) there's a slight warp to the case on the left side which
came like that from the factory. (You can see this in the pictures as
well) I didn't see a reason to send the amp back to Schiit to replace
it when I first got the amp. It HAS not been opened up or dropped as
there are no other physical marks on the amp.
If you're in Manhattan, more than happy to bring it to a coffee shop for you inspect/listen to it as well.
What's included: Tungsol tube, Octal LISST, Lyr 3, power cable and USB B->C cable.
