Sorry folks. You will know a lot more than me about this apparently rare McIntosh amp than me. A new to me boat boat purchased last fall had a massively complicated stereo (8 amps and a whole whack of other stuff including lighting and get this - a fog machine!). First thing I did when I bought this boat was to change the mattresses lol. All of the components were enclosed in the aft-cabin utility locker with no exposure to the elements. I had everything removed (including the fog machine) and had a simple stereo installed. Upon taking the amps etc to a local service place to see what was what, I was told most everything was pretty much run of the mill except this amp. They said some of the solder points were dry but other than that it was a great find and worth selling to someone who knows about this stuff. I paid $170 to have them go over it tip to tail and and re-solder the offending point (joints maybe?). They said in its condition it’s worth about $1300. I’ll take any decent offer.
