Up for sale my Mark Levinson 360 DAC (Digital to Analog Converter). It is in beautiful shape, resided in a smoke free home. It is still stunning with some very small minor scratches which can only be seen under close inspection. Rating it a Very Good but it is really a 9 Excellent.  Comes with original power cable.  Does not come with remote control or any other accessories.

It has six digital inputs. It has both balanced and RCA outputs. When introduced the 360 set a new standard for digital playback regardless of price! It gives nothing up in sound compared to today's DACS.

Description:
Digital/analog converter with dual-differential 24-bit/96kHz DACs. Input data rates accepted up to 96kHz. DSP processor, full remote control, HDCD decoding, 8x oversampling digital filter, Bessel-tuned, linear-phase analog filter and phase inversion switching. Digital inputs: 2 AES/EBU, ST, TosLink, RCA, BNC. Digital output: XLR. Fixed-volume analog outputs: XLR balanced, RCA unbalanced. Source impedance: less than 6 ohms. Connectors and capability for Mark Levinson and PHASTlink integrated system control. RS-232 port for communications and programming

Tech
Power Supply: The Master Power Supply is shielded internally with a steel enclosure (to contain/ground low frequency electromagnetic noise).
The AC cord plugs in the underside to minimize 50/60 Hz noise.
Two Transformers maximize isolation between digital and analog circuits.

FROM STEREOPHILE re FIFO
"The single feature that, for me, most clearly separates Levinson DACs from others is the use of an "intelligent" FIFO to buffer and reclock the digital data. The No.360 uses an Analog Devices AD9850 Direct Digital Synthesis chip to generate a clock (with an accuracy of 4 parts per billion!) based on a continuous recalculation of the longterm input data rate. The buffer thus cannot be overrun or starved, and the words are clocked precisely into the DACs. In addition, the No.360 uses a low-voltage differential signal path throughout."

DACS True 24-bit multi-bit DACs (Burr Brown PCM 1704's). Two matched DACS per channel to convert the balanced signal into analog. The use of true 24-bit DAC's offer high performance sound.

Balanced Circuitry: Balanced Circuitry is used extensively by the processors.

DSP:Two (2) SHARC tm (Super Harvard Architecture) 32 bit digital signal processors follow the DIR in the signal path.
