This Dac is from the renown MSB company. its a refurb Analog model. Make no mistake. Their less Expensive Dacs use much of the same design features and circuitry of the Big brother DACs coming in at over $ 50 and $100K . Quite simply they wrote the book on HiFi DAC technology in the USA. So the DAC you receive after purchasing this one , will absolutely feel, look and sound twice what you paid for it. There is a reason there are none of these for sale used. The sleek dual chassis Analog DAC has a look like no other. Both chassis for power supply as well as DAC are milled out of a solid block of billet aluminum, for the most vibration control thats possible with a chassis, its a very expensive process but well worth it. It simply exudes excellence and high design, Each chassis is an inch high with rubber spheres inbetween the Power base chassis and in-between the ground. This makes the SAnalog Dac the thinnest DAC to be offered by MSB The display is very rare and the only one of its kind I know. Its invisible until you turn or press the dual function wheel and button, then the top immuminates from thousands of tiny holes to give you the alphanumeric display, you hear the discreet analog relay ladder uopn turning volume up and down letting you know the volume control is of the highest quality, Along with the volume control comes the ability to use the DAC as an analog linestage, say if you wanted to run your phono preamp to it and have it control volume for yourt vinyl rig This model has a module dock on back with room for 3 modules, and the USB is currently isntalled, you may add an AES/SPDIF, Or an i2s or even an MQA module. There is a remote control, and the unit sounds head and shoulders above the other DAC;s around it. It is very relaxed and musical in nature but still retains all the detail to bring a 3 dimensional soundstage, Both XLR and RCA outputs allow you the versatility you want in a piece this good. So the retail on this piece was $7990 base model and $3,000 dollars if you got the power base at the time of purchase, $3700 if you added it later. and the Quad rate USB module which was $890, so just near $12K plus tax of around $800 So just under $13K. I will price this for a no nonesense sale for $4998 . Guaranteed against DOA and returns are accepted for full store credit , This is one you just dont see for sale very often, I'd jump on it . Shipping is $40 in continental usa more elsewhere.
