This was Denon's best (and most expensive) MC cartridge. I purchased it from the Audiogon about 3 years ago (I paid $575.00). Since then, I have used only less than 10 hours because my phono preamp is not compatible with a lower-than-0.3mV cartridge. When I listen to vinyls with volume knob (9 - 10 o'clock position), the sound was very nice, but I cranked up there was audible background noise due to my phono amp (tube amp and S/N ratio is very lower than solid state phono amp). From a visual inspection, I do not see any flaw.
