I had a pretty rough year in 2018 and sold off all the gear I owned to pay some bills. Bummer. Thiel CS3.6 speakers, Modwright KWI200 Integrated, Sony HapZ1es, Marantz Turntable...all gone.
I bought this new from the good folks at Audio Den in beautiful downtown Lake Grove - a town without a lake nor a grove - in order to have SOMETHING to listen to until I could begin rebuilding my stereo. Having purchased the Vault2 way back I was readily familiar with the company’s quality and sonics.
This is a 60 watt per channel class D amp attached to a very simple to use streamer. You can either listen to a slew of radio stations from the world over, or slap in a usb thumb drive on the rear to enjoy your music. The very few times I used it I simply did the USB thing. I never subscribed to any of the pay programs easily accessed through the app only because the amount of free programs and stations is so extensive I never thought it worthwhile.
I may have used this ten times in the last year. It is mint.
Everything it came with is included. (I use a different power cord from the one provided - the original is included.)
I opened it, plugged it in, downloaded the app onto my iPad and that was it. Easy peasey. You can do the same with your smartphone if that’s easier. I had an old iPad that was gathering dust so I employed that.
60 watts is sufficient power to drive most medium sized loudspeakers. I have been using a pair of Meadowlark Kestrels - which I just sold in a separate ad - and the result was thoroughly acceptable.
There are no tone controls to set. Plug and play with very good sonics.
Summer home? Vacation spot with a portable box? Here’s a more than suitable little number to up that game a little.
I have 100% positive feedback here on Audiogon both buying and selling. I take my reputation in this community seriously.
I DO NOT levy the PayPal surcharges on buyers. I find that to be insulting. If I must ship, you the buyer pays the additional amount above and beyond the agreed upon price plus insurance. It will be shipped via UPS - continental U. S. only.
