Plinius SA-50 mkIII

This is a pure class-A power amp though you can switch to class-AB mode to save energy. 50 watts per channel. Please don't underestimate this amp by the humble 50 wpc. I have two more power amps (200 wpc = brand new price $1500, and 250 wpc = brand new price $2250 respectably). This killed the two amps in terms of (1) room filling, (2) strong bass and (3) powerful dynamics. Entry level 200 - 250 wpc amps do not produce real power that is available from high end amps such as this Plinius. By the relationship between human-ear-reception and sound-pressure-level, in order to hear twice the loudness of 50 wpc, you need 10 times the power. That is 500 wpc. I also have tube amps (two mono blocks). This Plinius has the clear high and life-like mid as same as those from the tubes. However, the Plinius produces tight and immediate bass! I am selling because of downsizing. Condition = 7/10 for conservative rating. There is a slight bent in the cooling fin. I am not sure you can see the bent from the 2nd picture. Shipping cost would be high (e.g., from West to East, ca. $180). I will absorb any premium over $100. The amp alone weighs 62 lbs. No original box, but will be packed safely. No original manual, but printed version from the Plinius web-site.
